TMTIC Announces New International Partnerships to Promote Global-Standard Geo-Safaris

Dodoma, Tanzania – The Tanzania Minerals Tourism Information Centre (TMTIC) has announced strategic collaborations with top international tour companies, universities, and global research institutions to strengthen Tanzania’s emerging Minerals and Geo-Tourism sector.

These partnerships are part of TMTIC’s effort to ensure that Geo-Safaris and field excursions meet world-class standards in safety, scientific integrity, and experiential depth.

New partnerships include:

  • Academic Institutions: Joint research programs in petrology, volcanology, palaeontology, and sustainable development.

  • Tourism Operators: Co-designed luxury itineraries to the Ngorongoro-Lengai UNESCO Global Geo-park and Central Heritage Route.

  • Mining Stakeholders: Safe, professionally coordinated access to select mining operations, including the iconic Tanzanite mines.

  • Conservation NGOs: Ensuring all TMTIC activities meet high environmental and community protection standards.

TMTIC representatives stated that these partnerships will expand international visibility while reinforcing Tanzania’s commitment to responsible geo-tourism and long-term minerals heritage protection.
